Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, driven individual whose knowledge and skills will help us take our Global Planning and Procurement team to the next level. This position is responsible for vendor management and MRP purchasing for a defined scope of the business along with raw material planning and data analytics supporting the Estonia site. The ideal candidate will have an eye for continuous improvement opportunities and a knack for problem solving. You will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment as you work hand-in-hand and lead communications with Operations, Supply Chain, and Product Management teams to ensure supply strategies are aligned with business goals and objectives. Buyer/Planners are purchasing agents that also do material planning. The position is responsible for purchasing, material requirements planning, supplier relationship management, expediting and general maintenance of the ERP system and data as it relates to those responsibilities. The position exists and operates at the intersection of virtually every functional sector of the organization.

 

This is a temporary position until February 2027

Responsibilities

As Buyer II you will be responsible for the following:

  • Prioritize activity & communication based upon the needs and goals of the organization and acting with proper urgency based upon the needs and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Negotiate pricing, net terms, orders and contracts to assure the flow of quality components and services to the organization while minimizing or optimizing timing, risk and inventory value.
  • Analyze supply and demand reports to drive purchasing decisions on quantity, timing, cost and quality.
  • Handle all RMA’s with vendors (requests, follow up on replacement/credit memo, update ERP system accordingly).
  • Match receivers with invoices and confirm invoices are accurate, then provide to accounts payable.
  • Purchase products and services competitively
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all information and data shared and logged in the ERP system.
  • Understand the operational flow of the organization and how the position contributes and relates to the design, acquisition and transformation of components into a finished saleable product.
  • Compute, analyze and report supply, demand, standard cost, actual cost, financial, break even and ROI information.
  • Consistently seek to strive and focus on quantifiable data for decision making rather than personal opinions.
  • Display a proactive approach to responsibilities with advance planning and preventative actions and keen focus to deadlines and deliverables.
  • Having a positive attitude and continuous improvement mindset
  • May be asked to perform other duties at a lower or higher level of proficiency

Qualifications

The successful candidate meets the following criteria:

 

  • Must speak, write and understand both Estonian and English Language
  • BA Degree preferred in related field required plus 2+ years of relevant experience or 5+ years of direct experience as a buyer/purchaser/planner experience required.
  • Experience with MRP / ERP software and SAP experience a plus
  • Experience working in and supporting an ISO 9001 similar Quality Management System
  • Proficient Computer skills (Office Applications, ERP/MRP Systems)
  • Effectively communicate (bi-directionally) with individuals or groups information of a technical or financial nature
  • Active listener, respectful and professional. Communicate with honesty and integrity
  • Maintain an open, positive, supportive and service focused attitude and approach to all responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and openness related to the responsibilities to question why things are the way they are and always seek continuous improvement.
  • Understand KANBAN and JIT procurement management systems.
  • Have the ability to calculate and manage to key performance indicators (KPI)
  • Possess advanced knowledge of supply chain activities and relationship management
  • Strong organizational skills
